Security
Hospital security guards must be able to handle a wide range of situations—from dealing with unruly or violent individuals to helping deliver medical supplies or equipment.
Our security guards have a wide range of responsibilities, which can include:
- Observing security cameras at entrances and exits to ensure that no unauthorized individuals have entered the building undetected
- Patrolling the grounds of the facility, checking on patients and ensuring they are safe
- Reporting any unusual activity to the appropriate authorities
- Maintaining order in the hospital by enforcing rules, regulations, and procedures regarding conduct on hospital premises
- Escorting patients to their destination within the hospital or facility, such as to x-ray labs or clinics
- Reporting any suspicious activity or safety hazards to appropriate staff members
- Maintaining security logs of all activity on the premises including visitors and employee entries and exits
- Reporting any unusual activity to security staff or police
- Monitoring security cameras for signs of theft or violence, and calling for backup if necessary
